Welcome to 16SQED
16SQED is a gallery of small works made for the places where life actually happens.
Every piece begins as a 4 × 4 inch ceramic tile — part artwork, part object, and something you can actually live with. Put one on the fridge. Use it as a coaster. Prop it on a shelf. Give it to someone who will understand exactly why you chose it.
Our collections are inspired by literature, art, culture, memory, humour and the strange little things that stay with us. The idea is simple: meaningful art does not need a gallery wall, a frame or a ridiculous price tag to deserve a place in your life.
Sixteen square inches. That’s the canvas. What happens inside it is the interesting part.

The Canvas
Four inches of glazed stoneware, eight millimetres thick.
Every work in the catalogue is fired onto the same object: a hand-finished ceramic tile that can be stood, hung, magnetised or set beneath a glass.
